He’s hip; he’s on the scene; he’s old school, so he might actually read Playboy magazine. He’s definitely no square, though he literally is J-squared. No word on whether he calls his girlfriend “man,” though probably not; some things that were hip in 1966, when Bob Dorough and Dave Frishberg were writing cheeky tunes for Blossom Dearie, are no longer hip.
