Three of California’s most accomplished vocalists will pay tribute to three enduring legends: SARAH VAUGHAN, ELLA FITZGERALD AND NANCY WILSON. The concert which has received rave reviews throughout California and had a sold out performance at VISION in July. It will be hosted by a legend in her own right, Etta Mae Mumphries ( played by comedian, Karen Bankhead of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Will & Grace, and Reno 911).  If the audience closes its eyes, they will be convinced that Ella, Sarah and Nancy were actually in the room singing for them.
Prior to this tour, Deborah Sharpe-Taylor has performed three times on American Idol as a member of the Finale Choir. She has appeared as the 3rd member of THE SUPREMES with Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong and has sung back up for Harry Belafonte and Barry White. She has numerous stage credits spanning thirty years in musical theatre including performing in the original production of “Little Shop of Horrors,” “It Ain’t Nothin But The Blues,””the Wiz,” “Jelly’s Last Jam” and “Purlie” to name just a few. DeBorah also performs weekly as the Worship Leader at the Wilshire Methodist Church where she directs three choirs and is the Minister of Music.
Connie Jackson is a singer/actress with credits ranging from the Tony-nominated revival of “Dreamgirls” on Broadway to numerous appearances on prime time television shows like Criminal Minds, Nip/Tuck, Suspect Behavior, Still Standing and Heroes. A career highlight has been recording and touring the world as a back-up vocalist with Phil Collins on his First Final Farewell Tour as well as the recent Motown Tour both of which were captured on DVD.
Completing this amazing Trio of Talent is Karole Foreman whose musical and acting career is as varied and celebrated as her two partners. She appeared as Tanya in the premiere of Mama Mia in Las Vegas and as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar. Other shows include: 1940’s Radio Hour, Beehive, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jelly’s Last Jam and My Way: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra. Her extensive T.V. credits include: Medium, Becker, Third Watch, Law & Order, The Bold and the Beautiful and numerous commercials. To stretch her acting skills, Karole has performed as Isabella in Shakespeare’s Measure For Measure, Cassio in Othello, and Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet. Ms. Foreman has also performed many times at VISION; A Center for Spiritual living as the Special Musical Guest at the Sunday and Christmas Eve Celebrations.
