Nashville has long been a destination on my list of places to vacation or gig, even more so now that the city has managed to poach some of San Diego’s best musicians in recent years. I’m talking to you, Megan Carchman, Bill Coomes and Mike Spurgat. But until I can find the time and afford that plane ticket, I settle for the next best thing: watching “Nashville” on Hulu.
I am in love with this hit TV series, not because of the storyline or acting, but because of the way it features original music. The show acts as a platform for relatively unkown acts, carefully selecting and placing songs in each episode that have fans like me racing to the internet week after week to find out “who wrote that amazing song?”
Here are a some of my lovely music discoveries from past episodes. You can check out more music from ‘Nashville’ here.
