Hi all! I just got back from a week-long tour on the East Coast with The Lovebirds and wanted to share some new music finds with you. Meeting and playing with new musicians is one of the best things about touring in a new region. Here are a few acts to check out:
Christine Havrilla and the Gypsy Fuzz
We opened for Christine Havrilla at an outdoor summer concert series in the community of Exton, PA. What an energetic, fun show they put on – I felt like I was at a stadium concert! I was especially impressed by the ultra-tight harmonies sung by Gretchen Schultz. Here’s a video of Havrilla and Schultz performing a tune called “Hole in the Ground” as a duo setup.
Caroline Spence
I first met Caroline Spence last June at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas. I fell in love with her songwriting and was overjoyed to learn we were booked to play on the same bill later in the summer at Ebenezer’s Coffeehouse in Washington D.C. I was so thrilled to be able to watch her perform a full set. If you are a sucker for achingly beautiful and clever lyrics, you have to check out songs like “Mint Condition” and “Whiskey Watered Down.”
Katie Armiger
Fresh off a gig at the Grand Ole Opry, Katie Armiger and her talented Nashville-based band came out to Wilmington, DE to share a gig with us at World Cafe Live. This pop-country singer brought down the house with her powerhouse vocals.
Hope you enjoy one or more of these artists. I can’t wait to find more music discoveries on upcoming tours, and when I do, I’ll be sure to share them with you!
