The San Diego Music Thing, an annual 2-day music/media conference and festival, is slated to take place this weekend. The festival, now in it’s seventh year, is headquartered at Town & Country Hotel in Mission Valley.
This year’s SDMT will feature an eclectic lineup of over 150 acts and 16 additional venues/stages throughout San Diego. (Get the full lineup here). Daytime music-industry panels and mentoring sessions will be held Friday and Saturday, covering topics such as social media, web presence, PR, branding, business, touring and more. (Get the full schedule here). Featured speakers/artists include Jack Grisham, Swamp Dogg, and Moby.
Various ticket options are available on the festival website, including 2 Day Badges, 1 Day wristbands,  individual showcase tickets, and under-21 selections. The San Diego Music Thing is produced by the San Diego Music Foundation and proceeds benefit the Foundation’s experiential music programs in 75 schools around San Diego County.
