The LISTEN LOCAL Show by ListenLocalRadio.com

I’m excited to share that our quarterly listening room concert called GALLERY SESSIONS is back on July 12th at The Art Center in Ramona, housed inside 2Create Gallery. A concert in an art gallery? YES! You can read all about THAT here, Cara Cormier does an amazing job sharing the origin story of Gallery Sessions.  This month we have the incredible Paul Cannon and Stucky Leigh as our musical guests. Complimentary Mermaid Valley Wine and tray passed apps if you get there at 5pm. Get tickets to this show NOW!

6PM Paul Sage Cannon, acclaimed Native American singer-songwriter from the Kumeyaay Nation, announces new projects blending spirit, storytelling, and the sounds of Native Americana. Cannon, a member of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, brings his heritage to life through music that inspires connection and healing. Known for his raw honesty, sacred presence, and magnetic performances, Cannon invites audiences to journey with him into deeper awareness and soulful reflection. His powerful blend of fire and water — tradition and modern sound — has earned him a loyal following across communities and generations. Follow Paul Sage Cannon

7PM STUCKY LEIGH is where husband and wife Will Stucky and Lauren Leigh’s songs sneak off to make out. Their vocal blend is super yummy. They are definitely together. Their music is unpredictable and their chemistry is undeniable. Genre? Hardly Know’re. Learn more about them on Instagram

HERE IS WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING IN LISTEN LOCAL LAND!

Have you experienced Charade Speakeasy yet? We haven’t either and we CAN’T WAIT!! Calamity will play from 7pm to 10pm, 3 songs at a time followed by a 15 minute mini break where you can visit with the band and each other. This goes on all night and it’s a free show! Charade Speakeasy is inside The Balboa Bar and Grill in Banker’s Hill. Go here for reservations and more information!

Our Spoken Word Salon takes place on the last Sunday of every month. It’s an open mic for story tellers, poets and authors. Come join us, it’s SO fun!

Join us in the park to remember our dear friend on his birthday. We’ll pay music, have a picnic, watch the sunset. No cover, all are invited, even if you didn’t know the Rev. Kate Sessions park is a beautiful place. Look for a group of people playing music, wearing purple, and black fedoras.

I’m hosting the Open Mic at THE NEW Smoking Cannon Brewery! Join me from 6pm to 9pm to play 3 songs (or 15 minutes) sign ups start at 5:30.

That’s it for this month, pals. Hopefully next month I’ll be sharing a single from my new album BRING PEACE which is simmering on the stove getting ready to serve up some delicious new music produced by JEFF BERKLEY! I’m so excited about this collection. My first SOBER record since I started making music over 40 years ago! Songs written, performed and recorded without intoxicants. Who even KNEW you could do such a thing?!? If you’d like to join me on my journey and be the first to know about stuff, get VIP seats to things, and support my 23 year mission with Listen Local, consider subscribing for just $2 a month? It’s how I’m able to share all of this great music, art, and creative people, places and things!

Thank you!
