Hi pals! Welcome to July! I’m so excited to introduce Listen Local’s new feature HEAR HERE! created exclusively for YOU Troubadour readers! Each month I select one artist from the submissions to The Listen Local Show podcast and feature that artist in a video interview where we listen to clips of their songs and find out what’s new in their world. This month I’m BEYOND thrilled to introduce you to Mark Torpey, a Ramona resident who I discovered at one of my song circles. Mark plays ALL of your favorite songs from the 60s and 70s and people absolutely swoon to his renditions of classic hits. In a few short months, Mark went from “stay at home guitar player” to one of Ramona’s most sought after performer and now he’s recording some brand new songs that he wrote. I’ll let him tell you more about it in this month’s HEAR HERE! Dig in.
Meanwhile, someone finally told me that they couldn’t access my ListenLocalRadio.com website, that it gives them error messages and says the site is not secure. ?!!? After investigating I discovered that this website I’ve been putting my time and energy into for almost 20 years has NEVER been SSL certified (whatever THAT means?!) and so after paying for said certification, my site is now safe for you to browse around.
