On Sunday, February 19, Dizzy’s new location in the Musicians’ Association Bldg., Bay Park, will come alive at the 9th Annual Brasil Jazz Festa, celebrating Brazilian jazz with four music sets: Brazilian singer-guitarist Téka Penteriche from São Paulo, award-winning flutist Lori Bell, the Danny Green Trio, and the Allison Adams Tucker Group.

Featuring eight Southern California based jazz musicians: Téka Penteriche (guitar/voice), Lori Bell (flute), Mark Lamson (percussion), Bruno Moreira (percussion/voice), Julien Cantelm (drums), Danny Green (piano), Justin Grinnell (bass), and Allison Adams Tucker (voice).

The first event was organized in 2008 after several San Diego jazz musicians attended the renowned intensive California Brazil Camp in Northern California and returned with a desire to share their renewed Brazilian inspiration with the community.
