Chick Camp – Fashion, Friends, Fun!

The first CHICK CAMP was actually my bachelorette party which took place at Lake Jennings Camp Ground in 2008. About 20 girls gathered to camp and celebrate and it was so much fun that I decided to do it every year thereafter. Since then, Chick Camp has taken place at campgrounds and wineries in San Diego and even up at Hart Acres in Lucerne Valley during the pandemic. These events are now fundraisers to help keep Listen Local alive and kicking and are open to female folx who are 21+ Lately, we’ve been having 2 Chick Camps each year, a Summer and Fall edition. Fall Chick Camp 2025 takes place on October 17th and 18th at Surprise Farm Retreat in Ramona and we have a few spots still available. We set up a PA and have an open mic the entire weekend so a concert breaks out whenever any of our talented ladies feels singing a song. We have art workshops and delicious food and bonfire fun each night. We also have a group photo where we dress up in crazy outfits in the themed color and then a fashion show breaks out.
